Volunteers are the movers and the shakers of our charity. They are the people that make things happen. In the UK and in Kenya.

In the UK volunteers of all ages, abilities, availabilities and skills help us collect books, toys, stationery, sports equipment and much more and then they count them, boxed them and make sure they are dutifully recorded for customs purposes. But they also create. They create activities for the inclusion in our arts portfolios, they knit and they sew. They judge stories too.

In Kenya the volunteers run our libraries, monitor daily activities and provide us with feedback. They think up, organise, manage and evaluate activities. They promote reading and they spread the word about our charity.

As I said, they are the magical force behind everything we do. Thank you all you lovely people!
