We have already established three community facilities (playground and library) in Dzunga, Chidzangoni and Malalani and are aiming to establish at least 30 libraries, learning centres and community hubs by 2030.
We aim to significantly increase the engagement with education in the areas where we set-up libraries, and have good evidence for achieving this across our existing libraries (see Impact on Education). And we believe that the inspiration, knowledge and hope created through the establishment and running of these libraries will give the right climate for the communities to lead themselves out of poverty.
We are therefore expanding our operation and modifying our tried and tested ‘prime-build-support’ model to include ‘build’ only model. We would love to see as many communities have access to books and believe that we can speed up and increase our impact by working in partnerships.
